The name of the Mission is given by the Divine
Order of the Spiritual Hierarchy, also referred as the “Divine
Assembly of the Ascended Masters”. The word ‘Maitreey’ stands
for love, friendship and unity of brotherhood. Maa Shyama’s
teachings come from this Divine Order/ Spiritual Hierarchy. At
the request of the Spiritual Hierarchy, Maa Shyama who is our
guide, guru, friend & mother, accepted this spiritual assignment
in 1989 and established this Academy of Divine Light and gave
it the name of Maitreey Preksha Seva Mission as part of the prophesied
worldwide Divine Light work. Maa is the Soul of the Mission and
the main pillar of support on which rests the entire Maitreey
Mission. She is the Founder Chairperson. She is a repository
of divine wisdom sharing this spiritual knowledge and soul-based
teaching, governing and guiding the spiritual evolution of humanity
Maa’s
teachings is not aligned with any one path or –ism, instead,
she seeks to awaken the oneness and unity within all people and
all the diverse spiritual/religious belief systems. She emphasises
to her students/seekers that there are no short-cut to spiritual
growth, no instant enlightenment formula/recipe, no ‘fast
food’ for rapid spirituality.
As our spiritual mother she says, “Wisdom cannot be taught,
only knowledge which then has to be applied, practised and experienced
until you prove it for yourself as being valid, valuable and true.”
In her classes/lectures Maa makes everyone practice
the spiritual wisdom what they learn in her classes and experience
for themselves the benefits. She believes spiritual wisdom should
be put in action, tried and tested by the students only if it
works for them they should accept it an follow otherwise reject
it. She is an expounder of Practical Spirituality. She says, “No-one
else can do it for you: We all are concerned about the future
of earth, but nothing from outside will suddenly come and change
it, only each of us have to make an effort to bring that change.
Absolutely nothing outside of yourself can do it for you – and
that includes such popular new age claims, fads or techniques
such as DNA recoding and activation, Light Body or Kundalini
activation, communication with Higher Beings, speaking/channelling
the Language of Light etc. etc, because one’s choice for
the inner change consciously and working towards it in a strict
disciplined way alone can bring change”.
She is an ardent nature lover and communicates
with nature. She constantly keeps researching in all major religious
scriptures for a comparative and parallel study about the new
age wisdom imparted by the Ascended Masters because India is
a country belonging to different faiths. This makes her lectures
simple and authentic yet practical hence her New Age teachings
are accepted by one and all without religious differences. She
has devoted her life helping, healing and transforming the lives
of all who come to her. She has touched and transformed the lives
of each and every person who have come to her. Full of humility
and gracious nature she devotes her time selflessly to the cause
of humanity.

In the perfect legacy of enlightening knowledge
of the Divine Light House in the path of evolution Mr. Sanjiv
Verma has progressed steadily and emerged as a guide, friend
and teacher for all the members/students of the Maitreey Mission.
Sanjiv Verma, is a corporate lawyer by profession and has studied
and trained in the U.S. He has worked with International law
firms in U.S, France & UK. Presently he runs his own practice
in New Delhi. Many years ago he came to Maa Shyama as a seeker
and was deeply touched and moved by the love and teachings
of Maa Shyama. Through her love and guidance he got attracted
to the teachings of the Ascended Masters and gradually got
involved in the spiritual and charitable work with Maa.
He
is very closely associated with the activities of Mission. He
has shouldered the responsibilities of the Maitreey Mission as
its Secretary since its inception and also its Managing Trustee.
From a very young age in his quest for ultimate reality, he sought
and traveled in search of his true mission of life till he meet
Maa Shyama and accepted her as his Master/guru. He is a profound
reader and helps Maa in her comparative study of various sacred
scriptures. He devotes a lot of time in metaphysical research and
also conducts lectures along with Maa.
He is also an accomplished energy healer.
He has put in great effort to create easy and simplified practice
spiritual techniques to be used in day to day life. He has
made the theme of ‘Practical Spirituality’ very
famous in the Maitreey family. Highly intuitive and intelligent
he manages many matters of the organisation with ease. He leads
a perfect path both practically in the worldly matters as the
Secretary of the Mission and spiritually as an ardent devotee
of the Great Teachings of Ascended Masters. He believes in
the energy called CHANGE, as he teaches that change brings
different levels of adaptability, maturity and understanding
of reality in everyone.
Many years ago, the sacred Beings of Light ,
a very powerful energy source began to communicate to him about
the different dimensions of human life experience. The purpose
was described to him as a necessary step in his life to go for
re-interpretation of ageless wisdom for contemporary understanding
and application of that, for common and practical purposes. Hence
he shouldered the responsibility with Maa of sharing these simple/easy
yet practical spiritual tools and techniques channeled by these
Ascended Beings for the welfare of humanity.
He has a unique relationship with Ascended Master
Saint Germain, his etheric guru. His life is completely dedicated
to following the instructions that he receives from Master Saint
Germain. Some of which include spreading his teachings of Ascension,
introducing the use of the divine Violet Flame, and creating
awareness about the miraculous powers and immense benefits of
the sacred Violet Flame. His purpose of life is to help bring
awareness that “ Life is the most precious gift and each
of us has a divine purpose”. He says, “My purpose
is to fully realize and actualize my Self and to make my contribution
to the society. I am learning to love myself and others unconditionally,
and to grow, and to serve better day after day”.
Mr. C.K Sharma(Patron)
Mr. C.K Sharma, is a senior bureaucrat of
the Indian Administrative Service and a Secretary to the Government
of India, was drawn towards the teachings of Maa and the principles
for which the Maitreey Mission stands. He was highly impressed
by Maa’s teachings and lectures on practical spirituality
and Maitreey Mission’s welfare/charitable work with the
most neglected section of the society viz. the Leprosy patients
and their families. He was deeply touched by the transformation
of its members who regularly heal ailing patients and situations
by the alternative systems and was astonished at the success
rate of their healings. It was due to all these reasons that
he decided to become the Patron of the Maitreey Mission. He
has vowed to dedicate himself to propagate the ideals of Maa
Shyama and help manifest the vision of the Maitreey family.He
is also great poet and an intelligent speaker demonstrating
an unusual gift of communication and writing.
His vision of expanding the Maitreey Mission has led its growth
in various fields. He has dedicated his life for serving the
Maitreey Mission and all its charitable activities. He strongly
believes in his own spiritual transformation from a non believer
to a very strong spiritual person and a powerful energy healer
was because of his belief in the healing system and power of
prayers that he learnt. He has witnessed many miracles from his
own health to many gifts from God. He gives all credit to God
for each and every miracle he has witnessed in our workshops,
classes, prayer meetings, meditations etc. He says, “Prayer
clears the mist and brings back peace to the self……..”
Mrs. Manju Prava Jena
Mrs. Manju
Prava Jena is the Mission’s
Treasurer divinely chosen as she was earlier a teacher in mathematics
teaching higher school/grade classes with a renowned school in
Gwalior, India. Her peaceful life with her family was disrupted
with a painful stroke of fate when she had to undergo surgery
to remove one kidney. She was diagnosed as a classic case of ‘Congenital
Polycystic kidney’. A renowned surgeon to the President
of India conducted her surgery and the entire case has documented
for the study by the medicos because it was an unusual case in
the medical history where the patient lives and leads an active
normal life contrary to the nature of the disease and diagnosis.
Even her other kidney was functioning much less than normal.
During her post surgical recovery period the most difficult times,
she met Maa for healing & counselling. With love and affection
Maa groomed her to be a very powerful healer. Today she is an
expert Medi-pic healer & heals successfully many difficult
cases. Apart from being a very powerful healer she also takes
up meditation classes and also shoulders the responsibility of
being the Treasurer of the Maitreey Mission. She heads and manages
Maitreey Mission’s
branch/centre in Mumbai, India.
Mrs. Poonam Sharma
Mrs. Poonam
Sharma, a lawyer by profession having her own law firm, was constantly
in search for a spiritual guide. Her search came to an end when
she was introduced to Maa by her colleague Mr. Sanjiv Verma.
Ever since she gradually felt the transformation and things around
her have changed to give her the spiritual confidence that she
was looking for. The gradual expansion of her spiritual being
gave her strength to take various organisational responsibilities
of the Maitreey mission as its Executive Member.
She handles various charitable and welfare activities of the
Mission like collecting funds/rations donations for distribution
in Delhi’s numerous Leper colonies,
organises Eye camps and Health camps for leprosy patients and their families,
blanket distribution to the poor during winter months, periodic blood donation
camps etc with very great responsibility. Apart from this she is the chief organiser
of Maitreey Mission’s annual spiritual festival of “WESAK”.
She is a great animal lover and uses most of her time and her healing
skills for curing the sick and abandoned animals, providing them
shelter, comfort, medicines, and proper treatment.
Mrs. Snigdha Nanda
Mrs. Snigdha
Nanda, is a very talented artist and well known in her field
of Glass painting and other creative activities. She is an immense
asset to the Mission’s
activities especially in organising special events and Mission’s
cultural activities like music, dance, drama and other programmes & exhibitions
to generate funds for the Maitreey Mission. She very lovingly teaches
and trains the youth of the Maitreey Mission in dance and music
and make them participate in Mission’s special events and
for WESAK festival. This way she eventually bring the young Maitreeys
towards Divine Light. She has been under Maa’s radiance and
guidance for several years now and she also handles various administrative
responsibilities of the Mission. She also holds classes etc to
teach her art form to the youngsters of the Mission.
