Arogyam

Arogyam (A Sanskrit word meaning “Free from illness”) is a medical programme of the Maitreey Mission for the poor leprosy patients; underprivileged, and needy sick people who are rendered free treatment. This programme covers treatment of dreaded disease like tuberculosis, leprosy and other high infection diseases/ailments. Right from consultation, diagnosis, medication, physiotherapy, rehabilitation and counseling is provided free by the Mission to the patients.

Due to the apparent visible deformities on the face and limbs of leprosy patients and on account of their oozing wounds, stubbed fingers/toes and deformed limbs they are not normally attended by medical doctors. The affected patients do not get adequate medical help including regular dressing and cleaning of their infected wounds. The Mission in a humble way is running a Leprosy Clinic –cum- Dispensary at “Jeevan Deep Kushta Ashram” New Delhi. This dispensary is well equipped with the necessary infrastructure for the detection, treatment and rehabilitation. Full time doctors, along with medical assistants are available to check, diagnose and dispense treatment. We call for support from compassionate and public spirited persons, corporates and philanthropic organizations to help serve the society in the noble cause
