About Maitreey

The name of the Mission “Maitreey” is given by the Divine Order of the Spiritual Hierarchy, also referred as the “Divine Assembly of the Ascended Masters”. The word ‘Maitreey’ stands for love, friendship and unity of brotherhood. At the request of the Hierarchy, Maa Shyama accepted the spiritual assignment in 1989 and established this Academy of Divine Light and gave it the name of Maitreey Preksha Seva Mission as part of the prophesied worldwide Divine Light work. Maa is the Soul of the Mission and the main pillar of support on which rests the entire Maitreey Mission. She is the Founder Chairperson. She is a repository of divine wisdom sharing this spiritual knowledge and soul-based teaching, governing and guiding the spiritual evolution of humanity.

"Preksha", is derived from the Sanskrit word which means, 'looking in; introspection; 'dhyana' and/or contemplation. Preksha is celebration and freedom achieved by seeing inside one’s self.

"Seva", means service and charity works. Our service motto is "Service to Men is Service to God" ( Manav Seva is Madahav Seva). Our members are committed to serve and help others live a healthy, peaceful, spiritual and harmonious life.

Our main spiritual goal is to spread the true wisdom of Light, the ‘Brahma Gyan’, that which unifies all religion and all nations, share the wisdom of ascended masters. Teachings of the Mysteries of Kabbalah, Eastern Vedic and Yogic teaching and practice creating a unifying faith of integration. We seek to empower individuals and to re-awaken their active connection and experience of their inner Divinity ‘I AM’ or “God Self presence”, the Divine within every person, thus becoming self-responsible through this Higher Self guidance. Although terms such as ‘I AM’ from the western spiritual traditions are used, it’s ancient Vedic equivalent in Sanskrit is ‘Aham Brahmasmi’ meaning ‘I am that Brahma’, that represents Oneness or Unity Consciousness. We honour all spiritual disciplines, teachers and paths, Christ Consciousness for example can be equally well expressed as Buddha, Krishna or God Consciousness, or whatever term feels right for you - the choice is yours, for all are forms of the same Universal Divine Light & energy.

Religion is a matter of family tradition or just a social or moral habit. The essence of all religion is nothing but pure love. Only by extension of oneself, a human can expand love around him/her. When fear and hatred is shed the real wisdom dawns. Only this divine wisdom and realisation helps in creating unity of all religion and all nations. The ties of family, class and caste certainly puts limitations and the customs & rituals have divided mankind into separate groups that creates intolerance, racism, conflicts. The Mission’s spiritual motto is to help remove ignorance, blind faith and weak acquiesces.

Certainly, all souls will eventually return 'HOME' But that will happen only when they have woken from their slumber just like you who are reading this – and then take conscious action to be our brother/sister in Light ! Maitreey Mission is an integrated Academy of Divine Light and a Light House that is sharing and spreading Ascended Master’s wisdom for this new age also referred by some as the Aquarian Age/Golden Age. Our Spiritual mission and purpose is to unify all religions, spiritual teachers/ leaders, spiritual paths, scriptures, gurus, masters, spiritual centers, mystery schools, channelers, healers, saints, sages and all Light Workers around the world as all paths lead to the same HOME.
